Brighton Jive Promotions is run by Colin Tenn and Janneke Saebo, who have been dancing 1940s and 50s style jive together since 1996. They love dancing to the authentic Big Band Swing, Rhythm & Blues and Rock’n’Roll of the era, and are also both keen collectors of the original clothing, which they wear at their lessons, dances and events. The Brighton Jive Dancers are a dance performance troupe, specialising in 1940s and 50s jive dancing, who perform at a variety of events across the country.

Their lively shows always draw large crowds, and audience participation is often encouraged. The Brighton Jive Dancers can cater for private parties, promotional events, corporate entertainment, film and stage work, and although based in Sussex, are willing to travel to most locations. The Brighton Jive Dancers are available for bookings. For further details please call Brighton Jive on (01273) 560480 or check out their website http://www.brighton-jive.co.uk/

CHURCH IN A PUB
Starting in September, Sundays, 7 for 7.30pm
All WELCOME!
"Our aim is to get in touch with our Creator God, and investigate the real Jesus. This is a highly relational and interactive meeting. Just come to Circus Circus, and look out for the couple of people with Church in a pub white T-shirts. Get a drink (if you’re new, we’ll gladly buy you one!) and come upstairs. We often start with something that helps us build relationships – we’ve had quizzes, creative crafts, wine tasting, reading the newspapers, Chinese food, curry, and much more.
There’s always some teaching from the Bible (we believe this is how he speaks to us in a clear way) and plenty of discussion. We also invite people to respond to what we’ve heard from God by appropriate forms of prayer (which is speaking with God). Whether you come on your own or in a group, we’re sure you’ll find the atmosphere engaging and enjoyable. Our experience is that people who don’t go to church find the whole meeting a positive time. We always provide the opportunity for feedback so we can keep changing and improving the way we meet together. After all, our aim is that it is a positive and enjoyable time for everyone.
And if it’s not, you’re free to go - it is a pub, after all!"
